FAQ
GENERAL
What size shoes do you make?
At Otto + Ivy, we specialise in stylish footwear for women who wear larger sizes. Our collection is available in UK sizes 8–12, EU 42–46, and US 10–14, with many styles including an additonal wide fit.
How do I know what size I am?
Check out our step-by-step video guide for tips on how to measure the length and width of your feet.
The style I want is out-of-stock, will it be coming back?
We produce in limited runs to avoid over-production and waste. This does mean that popular sizes can sell out quickly. We always recommend shopping early to avoid disappointment, and signing up to our email newsletter, or following us on Instagram to get the latest stock updates. Many of our core styles are restocked regularly, while others return more sporadically. You can head to the out-of-stock style and size you would like, and click "Notify me when available". That way you will be the first to know when it comes back in stock.
Will I be the same size in every style?
Our founder Laura has made it her mission to have consistency across every style. She fit-tests everything herself, and is a 43 in every single style we do. Hooray! However, since all feet have different quirks (bunions/ toe-to-foot ratio/ longer big or second toe), some customers may find that there are times when they need to size up or down, depending on the toe shape/ opening etc. But we do have several customers now who own over 20 pairs of our shoes… and are the same size in every single one… how bloody wonderful!
Can I try your shoes on in a store?
Unfortunately there isn't a bricks-and-mortar Otto + Ivy store (maybe one day!). We don't wholesale into physical stores either, as it costs a lot to make our shoes, and we don't want to inflate our prices to accomodate wholesale margins. So we sell direct to give you the best value for money, and we are always here on email if you'd like some advice. You can email hello@ottoandivy.com if you'd like some assistance.
I have a suggestion for a new shoe style, who can I speak to?
Can I sign up to your mailing list? I don't want to miss new releases!
Absolutely. You can join our list here.
Do you have social media or a blog?
Can I work for Otto + Ivy?
We’re currently a very small team, but as Otto + Ivy grows, we hope to hire more staff. If you’d like, you can send your CV to hello@ottoandivy.com, and we’ll be happy to keep it on file until the right opportunity comes along.
SHIPPING
How much does it cost to ship my order?
All shipping information for different locations is available here.
Can I combine shipping if I've placed two orders?
Unfortunately not. We have a very busy warehouse, and the orders will be processed by our packing team as two separate orders. We're very speedy at dispatching (same day before 3pm Monday-Friday!), so it's very difficult to intercept an order before it goes out.
Can my order arrive any quicker?
UK customers can opt to pay for next-working-day shipping at checkout, if their order is placed before 3pm Monday to Friday.
RETURNS
How can I return my item to Otto + Ivy?
You can return your item to us within 30 days. All returns info is available here.
Can I exchange my item?
UK Customers can request an exchange for a different size (not style) on the dispatch note when returning an item. While you will be responsible for sending your parcel back to us, the new size will be dispatched to you at our cost.
What if I've received an incorrect or faulty item?
From time to time, mistakes may happen. If you send us an email at hello@ottoandivy.com, we will be able to resolve this for you.
SHOE CARE
How can I care for my Otto + Ivy Shoes?
Leather: Any marks can be improved by gently buffing the affected area with a soft cloth.
Suede: Gentle use of a suede brush can help remove any loose dirt. Please keep this material out of the rain.
Satin and other textile: Mix a light soap with lukewarm water and use the solution to (very lightly) dampen a cloth. Dab the affected area, blot off excess moisture, and leave to air dry.
We recommend the use of a protector spray for suede or leather items. Otto + Ivy produces dress shoes, not hiking footwear. Stick to pavements and your shoes will love you back!
